Supermicro IoT SuperServer E403-14B-FRN2T

Designed for multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC), the Supermicro IoT SuperServer E403-14B-FRN2T is 4.9” in height, 10.5” in width, and a 16” depth. It has a single Intel Xeon 6 6700/6500 series processors with up to 144C/144T performance cores, or P-cores, or 6700 series CPUs with efficiency cores, or E-Cores. With 8x DDR5 memory modules slots the system can support up to 2TB of registered DIMM modules. Along with 2x storage devices, all ports, PCIe slots, PSUs, and system controls are located on the front of the unit.

In addition to MEC, the Supermicro IoT SuperServer E403-14B-FRN2T is ideal for Industrial Automation, Machine Learning (ML), Universal Customer Premise Equipment (uCPE), AI on Edge, and smart Retail/Medical Expert Systems. For use at the edge and Internet of Things this compact unit can be placed anywhere. Processors supported on this system Storage on this system includes 2x hot-swap 2.5” NVMe drives on the front of the chassis paired with 2 internal, fixed 2.5” SATA drives. 2x PCIe 5.0 x4 slots on the system board can support 2x M.2 drives, and can be used to boot the system or for additional storage. The system is powered by a single 800W power supply which can be upgraded for redundancy with an optional additional PSU.

There are 2x 10GbE RJ45 LAN ports on the front along with a dedicated IPMI RJ45 LAN port for remote access to the system. The 3x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, full-length (FHFL) slots can support 1x double-width or 2 single width GPUs along with options for additional network controllers. Some of the GPU options supported on this system include the NVIDIA L40, RTX 6000 Ada, L4, and A2. Several management utilities are provided by Supermicro and include Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Supermicro Super Doctor 5 (SD5), Supermicro Thin Agent Service (TAS), and others.
