Supermicro Storage SuperServer 121E-NE316R

In addition to the upfront storage, the Supermicro Storage SuperServer 121E-NE316R also has 2x NVMe/SATA slots on the system board for 2x M.2 storage devices that can be used in mirror-mode to boot the system. With 8-channel memory architecture, each CPU is in charge of 16x DDR5 memory module slots, for 32x memory module slots system-wide. Either Registered (RDIMM) or Load-reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules are supported on the 121E-NE316R storage server. Memory speed is dependent on the installed processors, memory modules, and memory configuration. With 1x DIMM Per Channel (1DPC), memory speeds of up to 5600MT/s are supported.

For expansion there are 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and 2x OCP 3.0 compliant Advanced I/O Module (AIOM) connectors, each with a PCIe 5.0 x16 interface. Expansion ports can be outfitted with Networking cards offering up to 400Gb/s per port. They can also be used to support storage controllers. Supermicro provides a number of management utilities including the Supermicro SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager, Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 (SD5), and a few other software tools. The system is powered by dual, redundant 1600W PSUs.
