The Supermicro SuperBlade 422B-1NE14 has a compact depth of 23.5 inches, allowing for the deployment of up to 20x nodes within the 8U SuperBlade Enclosure 820 series (SBE-820). This single-width blade features dual Intel Xeon 6700 series processors with E-Cores, supporting a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 205W when air-cooled. It offers up to 4x hot-swap E1.S NVMe drive bays conveniently located on the front panel of each node. An adjacent OCP 3.0 PCIe 5.0 x16 AIOM mezzanine card slot supports InfiniBand NDR, NDR200, and more. Both air and liquid cooling solutions are available.

Designed for high-performance computing, electronic design automation (EDA), cloud environments, and enterprise data centers, the Supermicro 422B-1NE14 is compatible with several SuperBlade Enclosures. It features 16x DDR5 DIMM slots, with 8x memory module slots per socket. The supported CPUs offer 8-channel memory architecture and with a single DIMM per channel (1DPC) it supports data transfer speeds of up to 6400 MT/s using standard RDIMMs or 3DS RDIMM memory modules. In addition to the front-facing drive bays, the server board accommodates 1x NVMe M.2 slot for 2280 form factor cards and can optionally support 4x additional M.2 NVMe drives via a mezzanine card located at the rear of the blade. This configuration enables each node to support a total of 9x NVMe drives ( 4 x E1.S NVMe + 1 x M.2 SSD NVMe + 4 x optional M.2 SSD NVMe ).

In addition to the mezzanine card slot and OCP 3.0 slot, the SuperBlade 422B-1NE14 comes equipped with an onboard dual 25G Ethernet LAN on Motherboard (LOM). This versatile blade can be integrated into several enclosures, including:
