The Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-C3N is a dual socket system compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. Each socket supports 12x DIMM slots for a total of 24x DIMM slots on this SuperBlade Server. 3x 2.5-inch hot-pluggable drive bays on the front of the system provide hybrid storage.
Dual CPU sockets on this system are compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. Each CPU socket support 12x DIMM slots for a total of 24x DIMM slots. Up to 6TB of 3DS DDR4 2933MHz memory can be installed on this system. The front of the system has 3x hybrid 2.5-inch hot-pluggable drive bays. These bays can be populated with either 2x NVMe drives and single SAS3/SATA3 drive or 3x SAS3/SATA3 drives. The Supermicro 6129P-C3N is compatible with the Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 610J family. With 7x SuperBlade Enclosure 610J chassis outfitted with 10x dual socket Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-C3N server nodes, that up to 140 CPUs in a standard 42U enclosure.

The Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-C3N can support one or two 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. These CPUs support up to 28 physical cores and 56 virtual threads using Intel’s Hyper-Threading Technology. Each generation supports 6x DDR4 memory channels.
The front of the Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-C3N node holds 3x 2.5-inch hot-pluggable drive bays. Both NVMe and SAS3/SATA3 drives are supported on this system in two configurations. The first configuration features 2x 2.5-inch NVMe drives and a single SAS3/SATA3 drive. The second option supports 3x SAS3/SATA3 drives. The system has an integrated Broadcom 3108 controller operating at 12Gb/s which supports HW RAID of 0, 1, and 5 with a 2GB cache.
24x DIMM slots are supported on this system with both processors installed, which will hold up to 6TB of memory when using 3DS DDR4 2933 MHz Registered DIMM (RDIMM) or Load Reduced DIMM (LRDIMM) modules are used. Compatible memory speeds supported on this system include 2933 MHz, 2666 MHz, and 2400MHz but memory speed is also dependent on the CPU. Intel Optane memory modules are also supported but only when 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors are installed.
Dual 10GbE ethernet ports on the Supermicro 6129P-C3N node automatically connect to the 610J enclosure, which features I/O modules in the back. Additional expansion capabilities are also available through the Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 610J which has 4x 25/10/1 GbE ethernet switches.
Management options for the Supermicro 6129P-C3N server node are provided by the enclosure that houses the 6129P-C3N server node. The enclosure has dual Chassis Management Modules (CMM) in the rear which grants access to the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) in each node through the Integrated Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0.
With a dual 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor configuration, the Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-C3N Server can support up to 6TB of memory at full capacity. 3x 2.5-inch hot-pluggable drive bays provide optional hybrid storage on the front of the system and can be configured with NVMe or SAS3/SATA3 drives.
