For full memory capacity, all slots are populated with 256GB RDIMMs in a 2x DIMM per Channel configuration (2DPM). Memory speeds of up to 6400 MT/s are attainable with 1x DIMM Per Channel (1DPC). With 2DPC, memory speed is reduced. Built for enterprise applications, high-performance computing, virtualization and more, the SuperBlade 612B-1NE34 can be outfitted with up to 1x double-width or 2x single-width GPUs using 2x PCIe Gen 5 x16 slots. The front of the node holds 4x hot-swap E3.S NVMe drive bays. For improved performance or resiliency can be combined with the addition of a premium Virtual RAID on CPU or VROC key, which offers RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10. An NVMe M.2 slot on the system board is compatible with 2280 form factor drives and can be used for additional storage or to support the OS or a hypervisor.

For networking, the Supermicro 612B-1NE34 supports a connector for a NIC mezzanine card towards the rear of the blade. Power, cooling, and networking, and management are handled at the enclosure level with compute, GPU acceleration, memory, and storage hosted by the server blade. The supported enclosures are outfitted with 1x or 2x Chassis Management Modules (CMM), which are the command modules to communicate with the blade servers. The system delivers dual onboard 25G Ethernet ports through a Supermicro SuperBlade enclosure.
