Description

4x 3.5-inch drive bays up front support up to 4x NVMe/SATAIII drives, natively with 4x hybrid ports, for greater data resiliency. SASIII drives are also supported via a PCIe-based storage controller. Using either 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, you can install the maximum supported memory of 6TB. The Intel Ethernet Controller, designed for reduced power and package size, can be used as a LAN on Motherboard network controller. *This system is only sold as a completely-assembled system with a minimum of 2 CPUs and 4 DIMMs.

Performance

Either Gen 1 or Gen 2 Intel Xeon Scalable processors can be installed and both support up to 28 cores. Second generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors support more memory than first generation processors in addition to Intel’s Optane data centric persistent memory modules (DCPMM). Second generation can also reach the top memory speed of 2933MT/s, while first generation processors will only support memory speeds of up to 2666MT/s.

Memory

Each processor is assigned 12x memory module slots, for a total of 24x active memory module slots in a two-processor configuration. Registered (RDIMM), Load-Reduced (LRDIMM), Non-Volatile (NVDIMM), and Intel Optane memory modules are supported, but only using 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The fastest memory speed of 2933MHz can only be achieved using dual 2nd generation Scalable processors. With all 24x memory slots loaded with 256GB memory modules, the system can support up to 6TB.

Storage

SAS, SATA, and NVMe storage devices are supported on this system. The 4x 3.5-inch hot-swappable drive bays connect to four SATA3/NVMe hybrid ports on the motherboard natively to, but you have the option to convert to SAS3 via an add-on card (AOC). Up to 2x M.2 solid state drives can also be installed on using an optional riser card, with some restrictions. One M.2 socket supports and NVMe PCIe M.2 drive, and the other a SATAIII connection.

Expansion

The SuperServer 6019U-TN4R4T accepts 2x full-height, full-length expansion cards or one double-width GPU and one low-profile card mounted with the appropriate riser card and riser bracket. There’s also an internal expansion slot in the center of the chassis. To gain full access to the PCIe slots and onboard controllers, both CPUs need to be installed.

Management

One of several management features on this system is the Supermicro Server Manager (SSM) which provides capabilities to monitor the health of server components including memory, hard drives, and RAID controllers. With a couple of clicks, administrators are able to monitor and manage power usage across all Supermicro servers available to them in order to reduce the risk of a tripped circuit. This system can also be managed with SuperDoctor 5 (SD5), Intelligent Platform Management Interface 2.0 (IPMI), and Intel Node Manager, among others.
