Fully configured, the maximum memory capacity per node is 3TB. Accessible from the front of the chassis, are 24x U.2 PCIe 3.0 Hot-Swap dual port NVMe drive bays, with each node being connected to 12x bays. 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slots plus a Supermicro I/O module (SIOM) on the rear of each node provide options for network connectivity. This system is powered by dual 2000W redundant power supplies.

Each node on the Supermicro 2029P-DN2R24L features dual 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The hardware configuration on this system limit the Thermal Design Point (TDP) of CPUs to between 70W and 165W. Even with these restrictions CPUs with a physical core count of up to 28x and the virtual threads of up to 56x are supported.

System expansion is achieved through a total of 3x PCIe expansion slots on the rear of each node. There are 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 half-height, half-length slots as well as a 1x PCIe 3.0 x16 SIOM slot. Dual RJ45 10GbE Base-T LAN ports are available on each node as well, which will connect this system to the rest of your IT infrastructure.
Each node on this server houses a dedicated RJ45 IPMI LAN port for system management. Supermicro provides a suite of management software which includes the Intel Node Manager, Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0, KVM with dedicated LAN, NMI, SSM, SUM, SPM, SuperDoctor 5, and Watchdog. An Out of Band Management Package and Data Center Management Package are optional software utilities.
