4U Supermicro SuperStorage 6049P-DE1CR90 server supports a dual node, twin architecture, each with dual 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Processors with up to 28 cores and a TDP between 70W and 205W can be installed. Each node supports 8x DIMM slots per socket for a total of 16x DIMM slots on the system board. Up to 4TB Registered or Load Reduced RAM is supported. Intel Optane DCPMMs can also be installed, but only with 2nd Gen CPUs. 90x 3.5” hot-swap SAS/SATA drive bays accessible from the top-loading system are split between each node with 4x SAS expanders accessed through the top.

This platform is built for Telco and cloud service providers, content repositories, government data protection, and more. As an Intel-based system, the Supermicro 6049P-DE1CR90 supports dual Broadcom 3616 storage controllers (IT Mode) or Broadcom 3108 (H/W RAID). There are two Super X11DSC motherboards on the platform, each offering 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 half-height, half-length slots and 1x PCIe 3.0 x8 half-height, half-length slot. Each node also supports 2x NVMe M.2 slots for 2280 and 22110 form factor cards that can be used to boot the system. Intel Node Manager, IPMI 2.0, NMI, SuperDoctor5, and Watchdog can be deployed to manage the system. The 90-bay system is powered by dual redundant 2600W Titanium level (96%) power supplies, with 6x 8cm hot-swap counter-rotate redundant PWM fans providing cooling.
