The 60-bay Supermicro SuperStorage 6049SP-DE2CR60 is a top-loading system for high-capacity cloud-scale deployments. Two hot-pluggable nodes each support dual-sockets, DDR4 and DCPMM memory modules, with shared storage options. The nodes can be outfitted with 2x first- or second-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores and a TDP ranging from 70W to 205W. 16x memory module slots support up to 4TB of memory with speeds of up to 2933MHz. Using Intel Optane DCMPPs each node can support up to 5TB of RAM, but only when 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs are installed.

With dual nodes, the server is ideal for government data protection, Telco & Cloud service providers, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and more. Aside from 60x 3.5" hot-swap SAS3/SATA3 drive bays shared between the nodes, the top-loading Supermicro 6049SP-DE2CR60 offers 2x NVMe M.2 slots for 2280 and 22110 form factor cards and 2x internal 2.5-inch fixed slim SATA SSDs. Additionally, the 4U machine's top can be used for servicing SAS3 dual expanders. The Super X11DSC motherboard can be found on each of the nodes supporting 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 half-height, half-length slots and 1x PCIe 3.0 x8 half-height, half-length slot. Administrators can deploy software like Intel Node Manager, IPMI 2.0, SuperDoctor5, and Watchdog to manage the system both at-chassis and remotely. Powering the chassis are dual redundant 2600W Titanium level (96%) power supplies. 6x 8cm hot-swap counter-rotate redundant PWM fans provide essential air cooling.
