Additional InformationCPUs with up to 32x physical cores and 64 virtual threads are supported. With 8-channel memory architecture provided by the CPUs, the Supermicro 120TP-DC9TR Twin Server can provide up to 4TB of memory. Supported memory includes 3DS ECC DDR4-3200 load reduced DIMMs (LRDIMM) or Registered DIMMs (RDIMM). The drive bays are compatible with 2.5-inch SATA and SAS drives. Powering the system are dual 1000W power supply units (PSU).
There is a control panel for each of the nodes on the front of the platform. Each node also has a single PCIe 4.0 x16 low-profile slot for networking and there are also 2x 10GB RJ45 ports plus a dedicated Baseboard management controller (BMC) port. The BMC LAN port provides for remote management of the system. For management, Supermicro provides several utilities, including SuperCloud Composer (SCC), Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 (SD5), and others.
