Supermicro UP Storage SuperServer 522B-ACR12H

Designed for applications in general purpose computing, database processing and storage, and appliance optimized storage building blocks, the Supermicro UP Storage SuperServer 522B-ACR12H supports 12x direct attached hot-swap 3.5-inch hybrid storage bays for SAS, SATA, and NVMe. There is also a storage cage for 2x rear-mounted 2.5-inch SAS, SATA, or NVMe storage devices. For processing power, the system has a single Intel Xeon 6700 or 6500 series processor and 8x DIMM slots for up to 2TB of memory.

CPUs compatible with the Supermicro UP Storage SuperServer 522B-ACR12H have a thermal design power rating of up to 350W. Processors with P-cores can provide up to 86 physical cores and 172 virtual threads. Those with E-cores can deliver up to 144 physical cores and 144 virtual threads. With 8-channel memory architecture and 8x DDR5 Registered DIMM slots, each memory module can reside in a dedicated memory channel. Memory speeds of up to 6400MT/s are supported.

SAS support is via a dedicated SAS Broadcom 3916 controller offering RAIDs of 0, 1, 5, 10, 50, and 60. Onboard NVMe support is via an Intel VROC key and offers RAID of 0 or 1. SATA is also supported natively with 4x SlimSAS ports. The system also includes 2x PCIe 5.0 x2 NVMe slots for NVMe M.2 drives that can be used to boot the system or for superfast storage. For basic network communications, there are 2x 10GbE RJ45 ports on the back of the system, along with a dedicated Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) LAN port. For additional network communications or storage controllers there are 3x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots and 3x PCIe 5.0 x8 low-profile slots. The system is powered by dual, redundant 1200W Titanium level hot plug PSUs.

To manage the system Supermicro offers the SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager, Super Diagnostics Offline, Supermicro Thin-Agent Service and the SuperServer Automation Assistant.
