Up to 3TB of RAM can be realized when 4x 256 GB DRAM and 4x 512 GB PMem are installed. Up to 2TB of RAM is supported when all 8x DIMM slots are populated with 8x 256GB DRAM. Depending on the memory type and CPU installed, memory will run at up to 3200MHz. The top-loading system can accommodate up to 45x 3.5" hot-swap SATA/SAS drive bays, with 2x 2.5" SATA, or NVMe with optional parts, drive bays on the rear of the chassis. In addition to the top-loading storage bays, there is 1x M.2 PCIe 3.0 NVMe or SATA3 slot for 2280 and 22110 cards on the motherboard and two slots for SuperDOM (Disk on Module) storage devices.

2x PCIe 4.0 x8 low-profile slots and 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 low-profile slots can be found on the back of the chassis. Powering the system are dual redundant 1600W Platinum level power supplies. To manage all of the components such as fans, CPU temperatures, and more, the system is compatible with IPMI 2.0 and Redfish API, and can be managed using Supermicro SuperDoctor 5, Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), and other software utilities including, Super Diagnostics Offline, plus the Power Manager and Update Manager to make changes both at-chassis or remotely.
