This platform supports CPUs with up to 64 cores and 128 threads, featuring a TDP of up to 225W under air cooling. A total of 6x memory module slots surround the single processor for up to 768GB of memory. These slots are compatible with DDR5 RDIMMs, which run at maximum speeds of up to 4800MT/s. The machine is powered by 2x 800W redundant (1+1) Titanium-level (96% efficiency) power supplies, accessible from the rear of the chassis. A single dedicated IPMI LAN management port and dual 10GbE BaseT LAN ports via a Broadcom BCM57416 controller on the rear provide basic network communications. Measuring 25.5 inches, the short depth Supermicro SuperServer 2015SV-WTNRT supports 12x 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA drive bays on the front panel by default. Other configurations include:

Cards with 2280 or 22110 form factors are compatible with the slot. For GPU support, the system features dual PCIe 5.0 x16 FHFL slots. Additionally, two low-profile PCIe 5.0 x8 slots provide extra flexibility for high-speed networking or other expansion cards.

Administrators can use Supermicro software to maintain and manage the 2015SV-WTNRT. These tools include SuperDoctor 5, SuperServer Automation Assistant, and Supermicro Server Manager. SuperDoctor 5 works on Windows and Linux and can be used either through command-line or web-based interfaces. This is where real-time information like CPU temperature, power use, and fan speed can be managed, either locally or remotely.
