Supermicro WIO SuperServer 522B-WR

The 2U Supermicro WIO SuperServer 522B-WR can be equipped with a single Intel Xeon 6 processor. Intel Xeon 6700 or 6500 series processors with P-cores or 6700 series processor featuring E-Cores are supports. Offering a PCIe 5.0 x16 CPU and GPU interconnect, it can support either one double-width or two single-width GPUs. A CPU with a TDP of up to 350W with air cooling is supported. Additionally, it can accommodate up to 2TB of memory when all 8x DIMM slots are filled with 128GB DDR5 modules.

The Supermicro SuperServer 522B-WR is designed as an entry-level solution for small office or home office (SOHO) and SMB environments, serving as an entry GPU server and a general-purpose computing system. This 2U platform features a tool-less, top-loading riser that accommodates 5x PCIe 5.0 expansion slots: 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 FHFL double-width slot, 2x PCIe 5.0 x8 (in x16) FHFL slots, and 2x PCIe 5.0 x8 LP slots. For additional storage or to boot the OS, it includes 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x2 NVMe slots for 2280 or 22110 form factor drives.

Supermicro WIO SuperServer 522B-WR rear

The front of the Supermicro SuperServer 522B-WR supports SATA3 drives natively in 8x hot-swap 3.5” drive bays with an option for 4x PCIe 5.0 NVMe drives or up to 8x SAS3 drives. Note that an additional storage controller and cables may be necessary to enable NVMe and SAS support. You’ll find dual 1000W redundant Titanium-level power supplies adjacent to the I/O ports on the rear. Administrators have access to a serial port, a VGA port, a dedicated BMC LAN port, 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, and 2x RJ45 1GbE LAN ports. For system management, users can deploy one of Supermicro's software utilities, including SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager, or SuperServer Automation Assistant.

*This server is only sold complete and requires a minimum of 1x CPU, 1x DIMM, and 1x storage device (HDD, HDS, or M.2).
