The TrueNAS ES60 Expansion Shelf supports a number of storage protocols including Windows, Apple, Unix, and mobile devices. Supported storage media includes Enterprise Nearline SAS3 hard drives and Enterprise Solid State Drives offering data rates of 12Gb/s with a capacity of 4TB to 22TB. Self-encrypting drives can also be installed. Power is provided by dual redundant 90% efficient, hot-swappable drives.
Dual hot-swap SAS3 controllers feature 12Gb/s access speeds plus 2x mini-SAS HD host connections per controller. Total capacity of storage depends on the TrueNAS series appliance this expansion shelf is attached to.
