The IX Systems TrueNAS M40 Storage has a single controller with an option for two. Each controller supports 128GB – 192GB of DRAM plus up to 16GB of NVDIMM write Cache. Dual integrated network ports per controller, provide 10GBase-T. The system also offers 2x 10/25/40/100GbE ports per controller through the controller PCIe slots, enabling super-fast data transfers. With dual controllers, each controller also has access to all 24 x 3.5-inch drive bays plus up to 4x NVMe drives, which can be used for a persistent read-cache or for metadata. At full capacity it can support up to 500TB of storage with the ability to add up to 2x Expansion Shelves for up to 5PB of additional capacity. Controllers can also be easily replaced with other high-end controllers offering better bandwidth. 4x 16Gb fibre-channel ports provide attached host systems reliable, high-availability communications.

Offering an intuitive graphical user interface enables Administrators to quickly take stock of the system from a single screen. It offers the industry’s fastest ZFS storage and is easily upgradable. With Self-healing capabilities, your data is always protected from corruption, which is automatically detected and repaired. Single controller systems feature 825W PSUs while dual controllers support 950W PSUs.
