Offering and easily expandable storage system, the IX Systems TrueNAS M50 Storage appliance can support up to 504 drives. It features a single controller with the option for dual redundant controllers. Each controller supports 256GB – 192GB of DRAM plus 16GB TrueCache NVDIMMs to help preserve data. The system comes standard with 2x 10GBase-T network interface controllers but using the PCIe slots in each controller, can be outfitted with optional 10/25/40/100GbE.

The system offers either an all-flash storage option or hybrid storage, which includes HDD storage devices paired with Flash for the best of both worlds. There are 4x different Expansion Shelves compatible with the IX Systems TrueNAS M50 Storage enclosure. For scale-out, the M50 can support up to 8x additional Expansion Shelves depending on your storage needs. For scale-up using TrueNAS SCALE software, in addition to TrueNAS Enterprise CORE, up to 100 systems can be clustered together. The unit has a base configuration of up to 500TB of storage.
