The 13.5-liter Mini X storage is safeguarded by the self-healing ZFS filesystem. TrueNAS supports all major cloud-based storage providers, such as Amazon, Azure, Google Cloud, BackBlaze, and Dropbox. TrueNAS systems can also replicate data with one another or use iX-Storj Globally Distributed Storage. Another standout feature is its enclosure management, which offers drive status visibility through a web interface, making it simple to identify any failed drives. You can also manage file shares, set permissions, and perform maintenance all from a single web browser. For even more capabilities, TureNAS Core offers a number of free plugins and using TruNAS Scale enables VMs and containers for your private cloud management to shared media.
The Mini X holds a maximum raw storage capacity of up to 90TB and consumes 24W in a diskless enclosure or a maximum of 84W with drives. Optional read or write cache can boost performance. On the back of the system, there are 4x 1G Base-T networking ports and 1x RJ45 IPMI remote management interface. This is a very small unit occupying the space of a lunchbox and weighing in at 13lbs.
