RDIMM or 3DS RDIMM memory can be installed, delivering speeds of up to 6400MT/s. Additionally, the system supports MRDIMMs with speeds reaching up to 8000MT/s when paired with P-core variants of the Intel Xeon 6 CPU. The MiTAC R2520G6 R2520G635HYBD server is built for high-performance applications such as AI, VDI, and enterprise databases, offering flexible storage and expansion options. At the front, the system supports up to 12x hot-swap 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA/SAS drives, including 4x NVMe U.2 bays for high-speed storage. Two NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 slots, supporting 2280 and 22110 form factors, provide additional storage or can be used to boot the operating system.

For expansion, the MiTAC R2520G635HYBD supports up to 7x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for a wide range of configurations. These include 6x slots in full-height, half-length form factors, comprising of 4x Gen5 x8 and 2x Gen5 x16 lanes. An additional Gen5 x16 slot is available in a half-height, half-length size. The system also includes 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 OCP 3.0 mezzanine slots, capable of supporting LAN modules with bandwidth up to 400 gigabits per second. These are positioned near the rear expansion area.

For remote system monitoring and management, administrators can use the integrated Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI), accessible through a dedicated Realtek RTL8211FD-CG IPMI port. The system also supports a DC-SCM v2.0 module for extended management capabilities. Power is supplied by dual 2000W hot-swap redundant power supplies with 80 Plus Titanium certification.
