MiTAC Olympus G4520G6 G4520G6U2BC-N Server - System Overview
With 32x memory module slots on the motherboard, the MiTAC G4520G6 G4520G6U2BC-N GPU server supports 8x memory channels, per CPU, and can accommodate up to 8TB of memory with 2x DIMMs per Channel (2DPC). The system is compatible with MRDIMMs offering speeds up to 8000MT/s, along with standard RDIMMs and 3DS RDIMMs, which support slower speeds. For diverse storage needs, the G4520G6U2BC-N includes 8x front-panel 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe U.2 drive bays, plus 3x M.2 PCIe Gen4 slots for 2280 and 22110 form factor cards.
Thermal management is handled by 4x rear 8080 hot-swap fan modules and 8x front 8038 hot-swap fans. Powering the system is a 3+1 hot-swap CRPS power supply configuration, delivering up to 9600W and achieving 80 Plus Titanium efficiency. To remotely manage and monitor the MiTAC G4520G6U2BC-N server’s hardware, administrators can use the integrated Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI). Access to the IPMI is provided via a dedicated Realtek RTL8211FD-CG port. For alternate management capabilities, an optional DC-SCM v2.0 module is available, offering more granular control and advanced monitoring features.
