The 8-bay MiTAC Olympus G8825Z5 G8825Z5U2BC-350X-755 GPU Server is an 8U platform engineered for demanding workloads of modern AI, machine learning, and deep learning. At its core, the system is powered by 2x AMD EPYC 9755 processors, each supporting a maximum TDP of 500W. With 12x memory channels per processor and a total of 24x DDR5 RDIMM slots, the system supports up to 6TB of memory. When fully populated, memory will operate at speeds of up to 6400 MT/s depending on the memory modules installed.
Up to 8x AMD Instinct MI350X GPUs can be loaded into the MiTAC G8825Z5U2BC-350X-755 to train large language models. High-speed storage is accessible from the front of the chassis, supporting 8x hot-swap 2.5" NVMe U.2 drive bays. In addition, 2x onboard NVMe M.2 slots supporting both 2280 and 22110 form factors provide flexible options for operating system boot drives or additional high-performance storage. A total of 12x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots are positioned at the front of the chassis surrounding the storage bays. This includes 8x half-height and 4x full-height slots, allowing for accelerators, storage, or networking cards.
Thermal performance is maintained by 15x 8cm high-efficiency fans located along the rear of the chassis for consistent airflow across CPUs, GPUs, memory, and expansion components. Power delivery is handled by power supplies located beneath the fan array, available in either 4+2 or 5+1 redundancy configurations. Depending on the power needs, the system can be outfitted with 2850W, 3150W, or 3300W power supply units. Remote monitoring and management are enabled through a baseboard management controller (BMC) with IPMI 2.0 compliant remote management.
