32x DDR5 DIMM slots on the MiTAC R2520G6E3XD are divided evenly between 2x Intel Xeon 6 processors, each supporting a maximum TDP of up to 350W. The system supports up to 8TB of RDIMM memory. Compatible memory types include RDIMMs and 3DS RDIMMs operating at speeds of up to 6400MT/s at 1DPC or 5200MT/s at 2DPC. With compatible P-core processors, MRDIMMs are supported providing memory speeds of up to 8000MT/s at 1DPC. MRDIMMs can only be installed 1DPC.

Across the front of the 2U chassis are 32x hot-swappable E3.S NVMe SSD bays, with PCIe Gen5 x4 connectors. Inside the chassis, 2x NVMe M.2 2280/22110 slots provide additional storage options. PCIe connectivity includes 4x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots dedicated to retimer cards to maintain signal integrity between CPUs, GPUs and storage arrays in data centers. There is also 1x half-height, half-length PCIe Gen5 x16 slot with a x8 link. The server also provides 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 OCP 3.0 mezzanine slots for additional high-speed networking and connectivity. System management is handled by an ASPEED AST2600 BMC, providing IPMI 2.0, iKVM, and Redfish through a dedicated 1GbE IPMI management port. The 2U chassis is equipped with 6x 6056 system fans and 1+1 redundant 2700W power supplies rated at 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency.
