It can provide up to 4TB of memory in 32x DDR5 RDIMM slots supported by 8-channel memory architecture provided by the CPUs.

12x 2.5-inch storage bays on the front of the Tyan Thunder CX GC79AB7132 B7132G79AE12HR-2T-HE Cloud Server can be configured with up to 12x U.2 Hot-swap NVMe storage devices. The system can also be configured with SATA or SAS drive formats. For SAS drive implementation, a discrete SAS HBA/RAID adapter is required. In addition to the upfront storage bays, there are 2x NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots on the system board that can be used for additional storage or to boot the OS. As an option, the system is compatible with virtual RAID on CPU for limited RAID support of SATA and NVMe storage devices.
There are 2x RJ45 ports on the back of the system for basic network communications, with an additional 1GbE port dedicated for the integrated platform management interface or IPMI. Providing additional opportunities for expansion, are two PCIe 5.0 risers each outfitted with a full-height, half-length x16 slot, and a PCIe 5.0 x16 OCP 3.0 mezzanine card slot. Server management is accessed via the onboard Aspeed AST2600 chipset module, which offers an IPMI 2.0 compliant baseboard management controller. The system is powered by dual redundant 1300W 80 PLUS Titanium power supply units.
