With up to 20x drive bays, the Tyan Thunder CX TS70AB7136 B7136T70AV12E8HR server can be configured to support hot-swap SAS, SATA, and NVMe drive bays. 8x NVMe U.2 bays and 10x 2.5” SATA/SAS bays can be accessed through the front of the system, while 2x 2.5” SATA SSD drive bays can be accessed through the rear. The 2U system features 16x DDR5 memory module slots supporting speeds of up to 4800MHz and a maximum memory capacity of up to 2TB. This machine is powered by dual 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 60 cores and 120 threads. Each Sapphire Rapids CPU has an 8-channel memory architecture and the system is compatible with a TDP of up to 350W.

In addition to the drive bays on the exterior, the dual-socket platform this warm storage server offers 2x NVMe M.2 2280 slots on the motherboard. Expanding the system’s capabilities are 2x pre-installed Tyan riser cards with 5x PCIe 5.0 slots featuring x4, x8, and x16 interfaces. Similarly, the B7136T70AV12E8HR has a single PCIe Gen5 x16 OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot plus two integrated 10GbE ports. To manage the system, the onboard Aspeed AST2600 IPMI 2.0 compliant baseboard management controller provides remote access to the system. Designed for cloud applications, this flexible platform features scalability, high-availability, energy-efficiency, and high-speed network connectivity with the ability to support multiple virtual machines.
