The Tyan Thunder HX FT83B7119 B7119F83V12HR-2T-NS is a 10-GPU server designed for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Neural Networking workloads. Featuring 12x 3.5-inch drive bays, this 4U rack mountable platform is perfect for large workloads. Outfitted with Intel Xeon Scalable 1st or 2nd generation processors, this system will support a maximum capacity of up to 3TB of memory.
This dual socket processor architecture supports a system perfect for compute intensive workloads and those requiring GPU acceleration for parallel workloads. Compatible with Intel’s 1st and 2nd generation Xeon scalable processors, there is also generous storage on this system with 12 large form-factor drive bays on the front of the chassis. To keep the system at operational temperatures there are 6x fans total offering 5 + 1 redundancy. Additional compute is achieved using up to 10x double-wide Nvidia GPUs.

Both 1st and 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors are supported on this system, with each CPU supporting 12 DIMM slots. A total of 24 DIMM modules can be installed on this system with both processors installed. Power is supplied to the system through 4x PSUs in a 3 + 1 redundant configuration.
On the front of the system there are 12x 3.5-inch hot-swappable SATA drive bays suitable for both SSDs and HDDs. To account for drive failure or enhanced performance, RAID levels of 0/1/10/5 are natively available on this system. The SATA storage devices are controlled by the Intel C621 chipset.
The 24 DIMM slots on this system can be populated with DDR4 RDIMMs and LRDIMMs along with DDR4 JEDEC NVDIMMs. The DDR4 RDIMMs and LRDIMMs can be configured with speeds of 2933 MHz or 2666 MHz while the JEDEC NVDIMMs top out at 2666 Mhz. The maximum memory capacity on the Tyan FT83B7119 B7119F83V12HR-2T-NS Server is 1.5TB for the DDR4 RDIMM and LRDIMM modules and up to 3TB using 3DS RDIMM and LRDIMM modules.
With 10x double width expansion slots on the back of the system a total of 10x double-wide Nvidia GPUs can be installed onto this system for graphics intensive tasks or those requiring massive parallel processing. In addition to the GPU expansion slots, Tyan’s pre-installed risers support LAN mezzanine cards for added networking capabilities. The riser card introduces 2x 10 GbE ports. The front and back of the system have 2x USB 3.0 ports each, for a total of 4 on the system.
Management of the server is provided through the onboard AST2500 chipset which uses the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI). The LEDs on the front of the system provide information for temperature levels and if a fan or a PSU has failed.
