Designed for hybrid data processing applications, the Tyan Thunder SX TS65B7126 B7126T65V10E4HR storage server supports dual Intel Xeon 3rd generation Scalable CPUs. outfitted with up to 4TB of memory it’s capable of providing compute power now and into the future. The system offers up to 14x hot-swap hybrid storage bays with 12x on the front panel and 2x in the rear. The 2U platform supports an 8-channel memory per CPU and memory speeds of up to 3200MHz.
Two 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with a TDP of up to 205W each can be installed on the Thunder SX TS65B7126 B7126T65V10E4HR. Each of the two CPUs supports 8 memory channels and 8x memory module slots for a total of 16 DIMMs on the system board. 1,200W redundant 80-PLUS Platinum PSUs with 1+1 redundancy supply the power.
Up to 4TB of 3DS Registered (RDIMM) or Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules can be installed on the Tyan TS65B7126 B7126T65V10E4HR at full capacity. The system can accommodate up to 2TB of memory using conventional RDIMM modules or up to 4TB utilizing LRDIMM memory modules.
12x 3.5-inch hot-swap storage bays on the front of the B7126T65V10E4HR server can be outfitted with either 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs. 4x of these drive bays can be configured to support NVMe drives. On the rear of the chassis there are 2x additional hot-swap 2.5” drive bays that can support HDDs or SSDs. The motherboard features a single PCIe Gen3 M.2 slot with support for 22110 and 2280 card interfaces.
In addition to 4x PCIe Gen4 x8 slots or 2x PCIe Gen4 x16 slots, each on two riser cards, the 2U system also supports a dedicated slot for a PCIe Gen3 x16 OCP 2.0 mezzanine slot. The back of the system supports dual GbE ports plus a single GbE port dedicated for the integrated platform management interface (IPMI).
The onboard Aspeed AST2500 baseboard management controller (BMC) on the Thunder TS65B7126 B7126T65V10E4HR cloud server is compatible with IPMI 2.0 to manage the system. This interface provides management and monitoring abilities aside from the host system's CPU, firmware, and operating system.
