Compatible CPUs support 8 to 60 cores with a TDP of 350W. There are 2x pre-installed riser cards and a total of 5x expansion slots, including 1x PCIe Gen.5 x4 slot, 2x Gen.5 x8 slots, and 2x Gen.5 x16 slots. Additionally, this platform includes 2x NVMe slots on the motherboard, which can accommodate M.2 2280 cards. 1x PCIe Gen5 x16 mezzanine slot can support an OCP 3.0 card for additional networking options. One GbE port specifically for IPMI is included on back of the B7136T70V10E4HR Server.

Each processor has 8x memory module slots, for a total of 16x DIMMs across the system board. It can accommodate up to 2TB of memory with RDIMMs or 3DS RDIMMs operating at up to 4800MHz with all available slots filled with 128GB modules. There are a total of 12x 3.5-inch SATA drive bays in front with 2x 2.5-inch SATA drive bays in back. As an option, 4x of the front drive bays can accommodate NVMe U.2 drives. Two internal NVMe slots can be used for optional M.2 drives that can be used to boot the OS. Depending on how the system is oputfitted, there are two options for redundant power supply units, either 1000W or 1200W 80 Plus Platinum PSUs.
