AMD EPYC 9005-series Turin processors can provide up to 192 physical cores and 384 virtual threads. 4th generation 9004-series AMD EPYC CPUs include those with code name Genoa, Genoa X and Bergamo. Genoa processors can provide up to 96 physical cores and 192 virtual threads, each, while Genoa X CPUs offer a higher core count at up to 128 cores and feature AMD’s 3D vCache technology for an increased L3 Cache, per core.
For additional processing power, the system can be outfitted with up to 4x double-wide GPUs. The GPUs are housed in 2x separate risers mounted to either side at the back of the chassis, each with 2x Full-height 10.5” length PCIe 5.0 x16 slots. There are 2x more half-height, half-length 5.0 x16 slots at the back of the chassis for additional expansion options such as NICs or storage controllers.
Each of these CPUs delivers 12-channel memory architecture and with 12x memory module slots per CPU for 24x memory module slots on the system board. With 24x memory module slots, each memory module resides in its own memory channel for 1x DIMM per Channel (1DPC) and up to 6TB of DDR5 memory. Using The dedicated RJ45 management port on the back of the system, Administrators can access the integrated AST2600 Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) with IPMI 2.0 & Redfish support for advanced server management.
