To drive performance, the Tyan B8026T70AV18E8HR server supports a single AMD EPYC 7001 or 7002 series CPU with 8, 16, 24, or 32 cores. The AMD processor has a 7nm manufacturing process, and this particular chassis is limited to a maximum thermal design power (TDP) of 180W. Additionally, the CPU features eight memory channels for a total of 16x memory module slots.
The Transport SX TN70AB8026 B8026T70AV18E8HR storage server offers 24x hot-swappable 2.5-inch drive bays across the front panel, plus 2x hot-swappable 2.5-inch drive bays in the rear of the chassis. On the front of the system, 8x slots can be reserved for NVMe U.2, with the remaining 16x bays supporting SATA drives at 6Gb/s. The pair in the rear also supports SATA drives at 6Gb/s. With all slots populated, the Tyan TN70AB8026 B8026T70AV18E8HR server supports up to 1,024GB of memory running at 2400 to 2666MHz, depending on your choice of processor. Memory speed is dependent on the speed of the processor and memory modules.
There are 2x PCIe Gen3 x16 slots for full-height, full-length cards and one PCIe Gen3 x8 slot via riser cards. The Transport SX B8026T70AV18E8HR also has a dedicated slot for support of an optional PCIe Gen3 x16 OCP 2.0 mezzanine card.
To manage the system, the AST2500 IPMI feature uses an IPMI 2.0 compliant baseboard management controller (BMC) with a 10/100/1000 Mb/s MAC interface.
