Dell Precision 7960 Tower Workstation - System Overview

Dell Precision 7960 Tower Workstation front Compatible with SATA, SAS, and NVMe drive types the system can be configured with front and rear drive cages plus additional internal storage.

  • 8x (4 front, 4 rear) drive bays with optical drive configuration
  • 10x (6 front, 4 rear) drive bays without optical drive configuration
  • Up to 8x M.2 NVMe drives (4 in front, 4 in rear)

    • As a full-size tower, the Precision 7960 tower workstation takes up a 5U rack space. ISV certification is provided by the system for use with the most widely used apps. To make sure you get the most out of the ISV certified apps, the Dell Optimizer for Precision also makes system management easier by producing reports, system diagnostics, and productivity increases. In addition, it also allows for up to 8x PCIe slots such as:

    • 2x full-height Gen5 PCIe x16 slots
    • 2x full-height Gen4 PCIe x16 slots
    • 2x full-height Gen4 PCIe x8 slots
    • 2x full-height, half-length Gen4 PCIe x8 slots wired as x4 electrically
