The single socket Dell Precision 7960 tower workstation, targeted for AI workloads and professional graphics, replaces the previous generation dual processor Precision 7920 tower. This next-gen system supports up to 4x NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, including the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada 48GB GDDR6 GPUs. It supports 1x Intel Xeon W-3400 series processor with up to 56 cores, 112 threads and 350W, at the high end. In addition, the W-3400 series CPUs offer 8-channel memory architecture that can accommodate up to 4TB of DDR5 memory with all 16x DIMM slots populated, plus flexible hybrid storage options.
Dell’s Precision 7960 can be outfitted with up to 4x 300W GPUs. That includes NVIDIA’s top of the line RTX 6000 Ada generation GPU, which features 48GB of memory and offers 18,176 next-generation CUDA cores, 142 third-generation RT cores, and 568 fourth-generation Tensor cores.
