Dell Precision 7960 Tower Workstation

The single socket Dell Precision 7960 tower workstation, targeted for AI workloads and professional graphics, replaces the previous generation dual processor Precision 7920 tower. This next-gen system supports up to 4x NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, including the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada 48GB GDDR6 GPUs. It supports 1x Intel Xeon W-3400 series processor with up to 56 cores, 112 threads and 350W, at the high end. In addition, the W-3400 series CPUs offer 8-channel memory architecture that can accommodate up to 4TB of DDR5 memory with all 16x DIMM slots populated, plus flexible hybrid storage options.

    • As a full-size tower, the Precision 7960 tower workstation takes up a 5U rack space. ISV certification is provided by the system for use with the most widely used apps. To make sure you get the most out of the ISV certified apps, the Dell Optimizer for Precision also makes system management easier by producing reports, system diagnostics, and productivity increases. In addition, it also allows for up to 8x PCIe slots such as:
    • 2x full-height Gen5 PCIe x16 slots
    • 2x full-height Gen4 PCIe x16 slots
    • 2x full-height Gen4 PCIe x8 slots
    • 2x full-height, half-length Gen4 PCIe x8 slots wired as x4 electrically
