Featuring a mini-tower form factor, the Gigabyte W331-Z00 tower workstation is compatible with a single AMD Ryzen 5000/4000/3000 series CPU offering formidable performance for an entry-level platform. It can provide up to 128 GB of memory, along with 2x SATA drives and optional NVMe M.2 drives. It can also support a single wide or double wide GPU.
With a PCIe Gen4 ready x16 slot, the Gigabyte W331-Z00 tower workstation supports a single mid-tier to high-end GeForce GTX or Quadro GPU. Using the AMD Ryzen processors, this platform offers adaptability for use in gaming or creative rendering for professional applications. It can also use the built-in HDMI or Display Port (DP) to support up to 2x monitors at resolutions of up to 4096x2160. With a discrete GPU, there are more options for monitor support and resolutions. Dual Realtek RJ45 Ethernet LAN ports provide a dedicated network connection while a Realtek DASH Remote Management provides access to the system both in-band and out-of-band for easy management. The system has a single 500W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply unit.
With a single AMD AM4 socket on the system board, the W331-Z00 tower can support either an AMD Ryzen 5000 series, 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series or 3000 series processor. It is recommended a CPU under 65W is installed with a CPU fan-sink for general PC usage. For gaming, design and use with professional rendering applications a CPU between 65W to 105W with an advanced CPU fan-sink is recommended. AMD Ryzen processors are designed for both work and play with the power to perform both functions, especially with the addition of a discrete GPU.
AMD’s Ryzen processors offer two memory channels, and with 4x memory module slots on the system board, this platform can support 2x memory modules in each channel. At capacity with 32GB memory modules in all slots, the system will support up to 128GB of memory. DDR4 memory types supported include ECC and non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs (UDIMM) operating at speeds of up to 3200MHz, 2933MHz, 2667MHz, 2400 MHz, or 2133MHz, depending on the choice of memory modules and CPU.
There are two fixed 3.5-inch SATA storage bays on the Gigabyte W331-Z00 tower workstation. Two PCIe x4 slots on the system board feature PCIe Gen4 and PCIe Gen3 respectively and can be used to support NVMe or SATAIII M.2 2242/2280 drive options. An optional optical disk drive (ODD) can be installed in the media bay on the front of the system. The onboard drive controller supports limited RAID of 0, 1, and 10.
There are three expansion slots with the x16 slot supporting PCIe 4.0 that can be outfitted with 1 single or double-width GPU, either from Gigabyte or NVIDIA. The other two slots include a PCIe 3.0 x4 lane and a x16 physical length, the other with a PCIe 3.0 x1 lane with a x4 physical length.
A Realtek DASH Remote Management function provides remote and out-of-band management of the system through one of the integrated RJ45 GbE LAN ports on the back of the system. DASH allows for system health status information, USB device redirection, even logs and offers software KVM support.
Outfitted with AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series processor, the Gigabyte W331-Z00 tower workstation delivers powerful performance for both gaming and work activities. This platform can support professional applications and the latest games with a discrete double-wide GeForce or Quadro GPU. With 2x 3.5-inch drives and M.2 support, this system can also support up to 128GB of memory for advanced computing and gaming adventures.
