Up to 12x displays can be connected to the system. 3x DisplayPort ports on the back of the system use the integrated graphics accelerator provided by Intel’s Cores Ultra 9 Series 2 processors to provide monitor support. Additionally, some chassis configurations offer a Thunderbolt 4 port which can be used for superfast data transfers of large files or to support an additional monitor, for up to 4x displays just using the integrated graphics on the processor. For support of additional displays, a discrete GPU can be installed.
Supported GPUs
The Lenovo P3 Ultra SFF Gen2 can be outfitted with one double-width GPU or 2x single width GPUs, each of which offer 4x miniDisplay ports. There are two PCIe slots on the Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF Gen2, one of which supports a single-slot PCIe card converter enabling up to 2x single-width GPUs to be installed. With 2x GPUs installed, plus a Thunderbolt 4 port and the 3x integrated DisplayPorts powered by the CPU up to 12x displays can be attached. The system is powered by a 330W PSU with attached brick.
Memory supported includes DDR5 SODIMMs offering data transfer speeds of up to 5600MT/s or CSODIMMs offering data transfer rates of up to 6400MT/s. CSODIMMs have an integrated clock driver on the module to improve overall signal integrity from the CPU to the memory module. ECC or non-ECC memory can be installed. Up to 14TB of NVMe storage can be installed on the system by installing 3x M.2 drives and an optional 3.5-inch drive. Limited RAID of 0, 1, and 5 can be configured through BIOS. An integrated GbE RJ45 port provides basic wired network communications but this system also offers WiFi.
*System support frequency may vary by configuration
*Optional M.2 Add In Card (up to 4TB) adds additional storage.
