Featuring a single AMD EPYC 7002 series processor, the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus Server offers support for twice the cores of the previous generation and twice the processing power. In addition to faster memory and enhanced storage, it offers dual-processor performance with just a single processor. At only 1U, it can fit into your existing infrastructure with ease and features 12LFF/24SFF storage options.
Designed to address a number of common business applications, the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus Server excels at virtualization, data-intensive, and memory-centric workloads requiring a lot of cores and a large memory footprint. With 16x memory module slots available the system can support up to 2TB of memory. For a small 1U package this system also supports a number of different storage options including SAS, SATA, and NVMe U.3. Given the density on this system, a high-performance fan kit is required for certain configurations. Both small form factor (SFF) and large form factor (LFF) storage devices are supported in varying capacities depending on your business needs.
The AMD EPYC 7002 series (Rome) processor with up to 64x cores has twice the cores compared to the previous 7001 series (Naples) processor at a maximum of only 32x cores. With 2x the performance, this system also delivers PCIe 4.0 and up to 8x memory channels for increased memory bandwidth. With AMD processors there is no chipset as it is integrated with the System-on-a Chip (SoC) architecture.
With 8x memory channels and 16x memory module slots, the system can support 2x memory modules per channel. It also delivers faster application performance with memory speeds of up to 3200MT/s using DDR4 memory modules. Load-reduced (LRDIMM) and Registered (RDIMM) memory modules are supported up to a total capacity of 128GB per module for a total capacity of up to 2TB of memory.
With variable storage options available, maximum storage potential is achieved using the 24-bay, hot-plus SFF NVMe PCIe U.3 storage condition, currently supporting up to 368TB using 15.36TB drives in all bays. Certain storage conditions rely on both externally accessible storage and an internal drive cage. New to the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus Server is support for NVMe read-intensive and mixed-use SSD drives. Depending on your choice of configuration, the system supports SAS, SATA, plus NVMe U.2 and U.3 storage options so there are many ways to support your business. M.2 drives are also supported on certain configurations but may replace connections for an optical drive. A universal M.2 SATA 6Gb/s half-length, half height (HLHH) enablement kit can be installed and supports 2x M.2 storage devices, with restrictions on certain storage configurations. Additionally, an SFF flash adapter will support two 6Gb/s micro form factor uFF SSDs in an SFF storage bay. It should be noted that, for any major release beyond VMware ESXi 7.x, VMware will require M.2 or another local persistent device as the standalone boot option.
With 3x PCIe 4.0 slots at the back of the HPE DL325 Plus there are plenty of options for increased I/O support, superfast SSD storage options or SAS HBA/RAID. Support for an OCP 3.0 mezzanine card allows for more options regarding network bandwidth and fabric to support your business needs, without taking up any of your limited PCIe slots. In certain configurations, if M.2 drives are required, they must be installed in one of the available PCIe slots.
HPE server management solutions include their proprietary integrated lights Out 5 (iLO 5) modules for remote and at chassis management of the system. Along with HPE OneView, offers software-defined automation, helping Administrators deploy and manage datacenter on-premise infrastructure. OneView can help with updating, deploying, provisioning, and integrating compute and storage assets. HPE’s InfoSight is a predictive analytics software with a built-in AI to help avoid problems before they happen. The system is also compatible with Redfish and RESTful API to easily integrate with other third-party management tools.
At only 1U in height, the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus Server provides high density compute and storage to support a number of mission critical applications. With modular components this system supports SFF and LFF storage with Hybrid drive options including SAS, SATA and NVMe U.2 or U.3 storage devices. Various storage configurations support 4x to 24x storage bays depending on storage medium and configuration. And with only a single processor, it still delivers more processing potential than a comparable dual processor Intel-based platform.
