The Tyan Transport HX TS75AB8252 B8252T75AV18E8HR-2T Server features two CPU sockets which are compatible with either the 2nd or 3rd generation AMD EPYC Processors. Tyan markets this server as a high-performance computing system that can support up to 8x NVMe U.2 and 18x 2.5-inch drives. Each CPU supports 16 DIMM slots for a total of 32 active DIMM slots with both processors installed.
A total of two AMD EPYC processors can be installed on the 2U Tyan Transport HX TS75AB8252 B8252T75AV18E8HR-8X-2T Server. The new 3rd generation EPYCs are compatible with this system as well as the previous, 2nd generation EPYCs, and offer more than a 21% increase in performance. Each socket supports 16 DIMM slots, with a total of 32 DIMMs for the whole system. With two 10GbE ports on the rear, the system offers fast I/O options to support a variety of workloads.

Either the 2nd or 3rd generation AMD EPYC processors are compatible with this platform with 3rd generation CPUs providing a 19% increase in performance. The maximum Thermal Design Power (TDP) wattage is 240W. Each processor socket supports 16 DIMM slots for a total of 32 DIMM slots and two memory modules per memory channel. The system features a redundant 80-plus Platinum rated power supply configuration for data protection in the event of power failure.
There are a total of 32 DIMM slots on the server board, with each processor supporting 16 of memory modules and eight memory channels. DDR4 Registered and Load Reduced DIMM memory modules are both compatible with the system architecture providing memory speeds of up to 3200 MHz. RDIMM memory modules provide the maximum memory capacity at up to 8TB.
Tyan’s pre-installed riser cards provide four PCIe Gen4 x16 slots and a single PCIe Gen4 x8 slot. These slots can be populated with GPU for graphical tasks, either 4x single width Nvidia Tesla T4 cards or Two double-wide GPUs like the Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000 or Quadro RTX 8000. A specialized PCIe Gen4 x16 OCP v3.0 LAN mezzanine card provides additional networking LAN ports without using up any of the limited PCIe slots. Both the front and back of the system have two USB3.1 Gen1 ports each.
A single 1 GbE networking port on the back of the Tyan TS75AB8252 B8252T75AV18E8HR-2T Server is dedicated to the Intelligent Platform Management Interface for remote and at chassis management of the system. The LEDs found on the front of the system provide crucial information such as system health and system temperature. The Tyan B8252T75AV18E8HR-2T Server is also Redfish API compatible.
The Tyan Transport HX TS75AB8252 B8252T75AV18E8HR-2T Server provides superb performance in a 2U chassis configuration and depending on how the system is configured can be used to support a number of high-performance or general-purpose GPU enhanced applications.
