The 1U Dell PowerEdge R360 server is powered by a single Intel Xeon E-2400 series processor with up to 8 cores and a TDP of 95W. Alternatively, the system can support 1x Intel Pentium G7400/G7400T processor with 2 cores and a TDP of 46W. The single-socket system is tailored for productivity and data intensive applications that address the demands for SMBs, remote office/branch office (ROBO), and near-edge. When all 4x DDR5 DIMM slots are populated with 32GB UDIMM memory modules, the machine supports a maximum capacity of 128GB of memory with speeds up to 4400MT/s.
The PowerEdge R360 server can accommodate up to 8 x 2.5" SAS/SATA SSD drives, or, up to 4 x 3.5" SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drives. It also offers an optional hot plug BOSS-N1 with 2x M.2 SSDs on the rear for boot optimization. The 1U platform allows for 1x NVIDIA A2 60W single-width GPU to meet the growing demand in video and audio computing. The R360 features a Gen4 butterfly riser on the motherboard supporting 2x PCIe Gen4 slots with x8 half-length and x16 half-length form factors. One dedicated PCIe x8 slot on the system board is for an internal PERC controller.
The server is powered by dual 600W mixed mode Platinum 100 PSUs or dual 700W mixed mode Titanium 200 PSUs. Both options are hot-swappable and redundant. This system can be managed by Dell’s integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) using the dedicated iDRAC Ethernet port on the back of the chassis. 2x integrated 1GbE ports provide general network connectivity. iDRAC allows administrators to update and monitor the system both at-chassis and remotely.
