Dell PowerVault MD2460 Storage Array - System Overview
Description
The high-density storage is suitable for data center applications dealing with large-scale storage. Compared to previous Dell MD storage arrays, the Dell MD2460 doubles the amount of bandwidth and delivers up to 24Gb/s SAS4. On the rear of each chassis are hot-swappable, dual-redundant 1500W power supplies, as well as 2x redundant enclosure management modules (EMMs). Both EMMs must be installed since it only supports redundant configurations.
To manage the system Administrators can access the host system’s management software, the Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) or Server Hardware Manager Command Line Interface (SHMCLI. The enclosure, and multiple systems, can be controlled either remotely or at-chassis from a single interface, even when the server is not on. Real time alerts can keep your business running without any delays.
